Draw Near to God!

StraightLine

It is a well-known geometric fact that the shortest distance between two points is a “straight” line.  Imagine for a moment that God is at point “A” and is constant and immoveable.  Further, consider that you, your life, is represented by a second point, we’ll call it point “B”.  Relative to Point “A”, where are you today in your life?  At what distance are you from God?

After describing in great detail the bad spot he has found himself to be in, his envy of the wicked and so forth, the Psalmist concludes the 73rd Psalm saying, “But it is good for me to draw near to God….”

I don’t know where you are in your life today, what circles your line is drawing, but hear Asaph’s words to you today…It is good for YOU to draw near to God.  There, near to the heart of God, you will find compassion, healing, forgiveness, and grace for living a life of victory in Christ Jesus.

Draw near to God!
